Transaction Services Analyst, Senior Analyst or Manager – Deals

About the role

PWC’s Transaction Services team within the Deals practice helps clients navigate important transactions by providing financial due diligence and performance insight. Based in Auckland, the team is looking for analysts, senior analysts or managers to join and contribute to high‑impact engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse profit and loss, balance‑sheet and cash‑flow data using Excel and other analytical tools.
• Review historical and forecast performance, working‑capital trends and net‑debt items.
• Engage with client management to understand the story behind the numbers and interpret findings.
• Prepare clear, accurate and well‑structured client reports.
• Collaborate with Transaction Services, Corporate Finance and broader Deals specialists.
• Utilise AI‑enabled tools securely to improve efficiency and quality.
• For managers: lead small engagements, manage client interactions, review deliverables and coach junior staff.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and accounting capability with high attention to detail.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Relevant experience ranging from up to three years (analyst) to four years (senior analyst) in a professional services, accounting, audit or tax environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for financial analysis.
