Technical Sales Representative – CNC Machines & Robotics Automation

About the role

We are expanding our sales team at Iscar Plus to promote world‑class Mazak CNC machines and cutting‑edge machine‑vision robotics across New Zealand. Based in Auckland with regular travel nationwide, you will act as the technical bridge between manufacturers and our advanced automation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Sell and promote the full range of Mazak CNC machines, including turning centres, machining centres, multi‑tasking and 5‑axis solutions.
• Introduce customers to machine‑vision robotics for automated CNC machine tending.
• Develop new business while nurturing existing customer relationships.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closing, maintaining accurate pipeline data in CRM.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
• Coordinate with technical and service teams to ensure strong customer outcomes.
• Represent Iscar Plus professionally and build long‑term relationships across New Zealand.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of proven sales experience in CNC machines, machine tools, automation or similar capital equipment.
• Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining (turning, milling, multi‑tasking, 5‑axis).
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Ability to manage longer sales cycles with a consultative, technical approach.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills at senior level.
• Self‑motivated, able to manage own territory and pipeline.
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence.
