Systems & Domain Specialist

About the role

One NZ is building the most AI‑enabled telco on the planet. The Systems & Domain Specialist will provide technical, configuration and operational expertise for an assigned enterprise systems domain, ensuring that vendor‑delivered builds match functional designs while maintaining system stability and data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide functional troubleshooting and operational support for assigned systems.
• Translate functional requirements into detailed configuration guidance for vendors.
• Review and validate vendor‑delivered configuration accuracy.
• Support configuration changes, regression testing and release cycles.
• Develop and execute test scripts and verify that builds align with approved designs.
• Document configuration impacts and release outcomes.
• Monitor system data to identify accuracy issues, trends and potential risks.
• Maintain data integrity and support data‑quality process improvements.
• Identify improvement opportunities, propose recommendations and create AI prototypes where applicable.
• Produce reporting and analytics to aid stakeholder decision‑making.
• Facilitate backlog and planning workshops in regular sprint cadences with key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience supporting enterprise platforms in a complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of procurement and/or supply‑chain and logistics processes.
• Experience with AI workflows and automation.
• Proven ability to work with vendors and system integrators.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple systems and priorities simultaneously.
• Nice‑to‑have experience with system integrations and data flows.
• Bonus familiarity with ITSM tools and change/release processes.
• Advantageous experience in audit, compliance or regulated environments.
