Store Manager – Albany (NZ)

About the role

JD Sports is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead its Albany location in New Zealand. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving sales, profitability and team development across a busy retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, financial turnover and product placement.
• Lead a large team of department managers and staff, coaching them to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
• Maintain high service standards and ensure a seamless customer journey.
• Analyse sales data and reports to identify growth opportunities and improve profitability.
• Manage back‑of‑house processes, high‑volume deliveries and inventory control.
• Foster a positive workplace culture and plan succession for future leadership roles.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering outstanding customer service and building loyalty.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing budgets.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
• Extensive retail operations experience, including process optimisation and stock management.
• Demonstrated people leadership, managing department managers or large teams.
