SOC Manager, Bot Management & Fraud Prevention, APAC

About the role

Intuition Machines builds AI/ML-powered enterprise security products, including the hCaptcha security suite, and works with hundreds of millions of users worldwide. As SOC Manager, Bot Management & Fraud Prevention for APAC, you report to the Director, Global SOC and own the establishment and scaling of the Security Operations presence in the APAC region. This is a hands-on leadership role combining people leadership with technical judgment, and all managers at the company practice the same skills as their reports.

Key responsibilities

• Build and develop the APAC SOC team, including hiring, onboarding, mentoring, performance management and career development.
• Lead APAC Security Operations across bot activity, automated abuse, fraud, web/API attacks and complex incident investigations.
• Establish and improve investigation methodologies, playbooks, escalation paths, quality standards and operational KPIs, ensuring clear, actionable findings and mitigations.
• Partner with technical and customer-facing teams to improve detection, response and prevention, and identify opportunities to automate investigative workflows.
• Maintain regional coverage and contribute to consistent global SOC standards while keeping the team updated on emerging threats.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, Security Operations, fraud prevention, trust & safety, abuse prevention or a closely related field.
• 2+ years leading or managing technical teams, ideally in SOC, incident response, cybersecurity, fraud prevention or trust & safety.
• Proven experience hiring, onboarding, mentoring and developing technical professionals.
• Strong understanding of Security Operations, incident investigation, threat analysis, escalation management and operational processes.
• Ability to work with Engineering, Machine Learning, Product, Support and customer-facing teams, and strong written and verbal English.

Required skills

• Web and API security: HTTP, WAFs, authentication abuse, OWASP-related vulnerabilities, rate limiting and attack mitigation.
• Bot management and automated abuse mitigation, and payment fraud prevention and detection.
• Analytical, data-driven mindset with hands-on familiarity with SQL and large datasets.
• Nice to have: experience building a new SOC or fraud operations function, bot detection, fingerprinting, credential stuffing, scraping, account takeover, WAF or bot-management platforms, Python, security automation, AI/LLM tooling, cloud-native environments, and SANS/GIAC certifications.
