Senior Solution Specialist - M365

About the role

Datacom is looking for a Senior Solution Specialist to join its Information Management and Productivity Solutions team in Christchurch. You will work with customers to co-create solutions that modernise how they work, consulting on, designing, building and supporting end-to-end Microsoft 365 solutions. You will also help customers realise the value of Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI, advise on secure adoption and develop custom agents. The role is open to applicants from Australia and New Zealand only, and requires New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency, as visa sponsorship is not offered.

Key responsibilities

• Lead consultancy, presenting and delivering customer presentations, demos and workshops, and gathering and analysing business requirements.
• Build and deploy Microsoft 365 solutions including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Power Automate and Power Apps, and lead migration projects from legacy systems.
• Advise on secure and effective use of Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI, assess readiness, and design, build and deploy custom agents with Copilot Studio.
• Run Copilot workshops and training, coach customers, and advise on document control and records management.
• Estimate effort for proposals, follow ITIL processes, and provide governance and support for Microsoft 365 and Power Platform solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an ICT consultant in a professional services environment.
• Extensive knowledge of designing, building and deploying M365 solutions, and experience migrating content from legacy platforms.
• Strong facilitation, presentation and communication skills, and ability to turn business problems into practical M365 solutions.
• Experience with enterprise information architecture, information management principles, and Microsoft Purview.
• Experience advising on Copilot use cases, readiness and adoption, and developing custom agents with Copilot Studio.
• Understanding of information security and governance for AI.
