Senior Security Specialist

About the role

Serko is expanding its global footprint and is looking for a Senior Security Specialist to join the Auckland team in a hybrid capacity. Reporting to the CISO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the security strategy during a period of rapid transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships across the organisation and act as a security advisor.
• Conduct business‑focused security risk assessments and enable teams to operate within acceptable risk levels.
• Collaborate with the CISO and security team to define and implement the overall security strategy.
• Stay current on the evolving threat landscape and recommend appropriate counter‑measures.
• Lead DevSecOps initiatives, security operations management, incident response and threat intelligence activities.
• Drive security awareness, training programmes and evaluate emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Considerable experience in DevSecOps and security risk management.
• Working knowledge of security attack and defence methods.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record delivering high‑quality security risk management in fast‑paced environments.
• Experience managing Microsoft security products such as Azure Security Center, Azure Active Directory and Azure Sentinel.
