About the role
Senior Software Engineer at Kami, a digital classroom platform used by over 70 million users worldwide. The role is based in Auckland with a hybrid work arrangement.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy new features to improve user experience and support product goals.
- Maintain and enhance existing functionality for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate ideas and feedback into technical solutions.
- Contribute to both frontend and backend codebases, ensuring stability, security, and timely bug fixes.
- Incorporate user feedback into feature development and drive continuous improvement of engineering processes.
Required profile
- 6+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Go.
- Experience with web technologies, cloud infrastructure, scalable backend systems, and API development.
- Comfortable with agile workflows and collaborative development.
