Senior Building Services Engineer – Healthcare

About the role

A highly regarded commercial main contractor, known for complex projects in healthcare, commercial, education and infrastructure, is looking for an experienced Senior Building Services Engineer to join its project delivery team. Reporting to the Project Director, you will manage and coordinate all building services elements across major healthcare construction projects, working closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire services packages
• Coordinate building services design with consultants and subcontractors
• Review design documentation for buildability and value engineering opportunities
• Lead building services procurement and subcontractor management
• Monitor quality, programme and commissioning activities
• Identify and resolve technical issues throughout delivery
• Manage stakeholder relationships across client, consultant and contractor teams
• Oversee commissioning, testing and handover
• Ensure compliance with healthcare and regulatory requirements

Required profile

• Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related qualification
• 8+ years' experience in construction, building services or consulting
• Proven experience delivering complex healthcare projects
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and specialist subcontractors

Required skills

• Strong understanding of HVAC, medical gas, electrical, hydraulic and fire systems
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to drive programme, quality and commercial outcomes
