Project Manager - Relocate to Hawke's Bay

About the role

Apollo Projects, a nationwide design and build construction company, is recruiting a Project Manager to join its small local team in Hawke's Bay. Reporting to the Construction Director, you will take a project from early design through to practical completion, working on behalf of the client in a hands-on project management role.

Key responsibilities

• Take a project from early design through to practical completion, working on behalf of the client
• Oversee cost control management, including budget setup
• Develop programmes in collaboration with site teams, subcontractors and consultants
• Help manage procurement and contract management alongside the project team
• Build a collaborative environment with the client, consultants, subcontractors and colleagues
• Contribute proactively to on-site health and safety strategies

Required profile

• Minimum of 7+ years' experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction in New Zealand, preferably in design and build
• Excellent commercial construction knowledge
• Effective, collaborative team player with a strong work ethic and leadership skills
• Previous design and build experience is advantageous
• Willing to travel Monday to Friday after project completion if required

Required skills

• Confident with the full MS Office suite and MS Project
• Experience with Procore and Jobpac is an advantage
