Project Manager - Water Infrastructure

About the role

A New Zealand-owned project management consultancy, which partners with local authorities, water utilities, government agencies and private clients on water infrastructure, is seeking a Project Manager. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from planning and procurement through to construction and handover, supporting projects in water supply, wastewater, stormwater, treatment facilities, network renewals and growth programmes. It suits someone wanting to develop a career in a client-side consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage water infrastructure projects from initiation through to completion
• Support project establishment, including feasibility studies, consultant appointments, procurement planning and consenting
• Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams
• Manage scope, programme, budget, quality and risk
• Monitor performance and report to clients and governance groups
• Support procurement and contract management
• Build relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, utilities and regulators

Required profile

• 4-10 years of project management experience on New Zealand infrastructure projects
• Experience delivering water, wastewater, stormwater, utilities or civil infrastructure projects
• Tertiary qualification in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
• Experience in a consultancy, client-side, asset owner or contractor environment
