About the role
The Dental Assisting Technology and Management Instructor will join Pensacola State College as an 11‑month tenure‑track faculty member, teaching both theoretical concepts and clinical competencies to diverse allied‑health students.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, deliver, and assess curriculum for the Dental Assisting Technology and Management program.
- Prepare course plans, instructional materials, and evaluate student performance.
- Monitor attendance, advise students, and support retention initiatives.
- Participate in departmental and college committees, curriculum development, and textbook selection.
- Engage in professional development and service activities aligned with the college mission.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
- Minimum two years of relevant work experience in dental assisting.
- Current Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification issued by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for health‑care providers.
- Successful criminal background check as required by Florida statutes.
