About the role
Our Operating Theatre Assistants provide essential support in the operating theatres, ensuring that surgeons, staff and patients benefit from a clean, well‑stocked and efficiently run environment. The role involves shift work, typically 4‑8 hours, covering leave, sick days and periods of higher patient flow. You will work in a modern private surgical hospital that is New Zealand’s first net carbon‑zero facility, alongside a collaborative team dedicated to sustainable, patient‑centred care.
Key responsibilities
- Clean theatres between cases and at the end of the day.
- Handle and set up surgical equipment.
- Manage stock levels of consumables and supplies.
Required profile
- Detail‑oriented and meticulous in following processes and checklists.
- Committed to infection prevention, health and safety, sustainability and teamwork.
