Medical Scheduler – Front Desk Team

About the role
The Scheduler will join the Front Desk Team of a busy medical practice, handling 30‑50 cases per day. This role involves coordinating surgeries, liaising with referring physicians, and ensuring all pre‑operative requirements are met.
Key responsibilities
- Counsel patients and schedule surgeries for multiple physicians.
- Coordinate with primary‑care offices to confirm histories and physicals are completed before surgery.
- Complete all required paperwork for each scheduled procedure.
- Pre‑certify procedures that require authorization.
- Provide backup support for the Front Office as needed.
- Perform other duties related to patient scheduling and office operations.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience scheduling appointments or surgeries.
- Experience with insurance verification and managed‑care contracts.
- Knowledge of clinic policies, medical terminology, and scheduling software.
- Strong attention to detail, fast and accurate data‑entry skills, and ability to multitask.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and customer‑service orientation.
