Maintenance Team Member – Store Fit‑out & General Repairs

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Team Member to support the setup of racking systems, store fixtures and general upkeep at our Mitre 10 MEGA store in Papanui. The role involves hands‑on work on shop fit‑out projects and routine maintenance tasks to keep the store safe and functional.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of racking systems and other store fixtures for fit‑out projects.
• Perform basic carpentry work and use hand/power tools to complete installation and repair tasks.
• Carry out general maintenance, repairs and upkeep of store facilities and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout all activities.
• Collaborate with managers and team members to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
• Follow health and safety procedures and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in maintenance, construction or a related field is preferred.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy items and working with tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Positive attitude and good teamwork skills.
• Focus on health and safety compliance.
