Finance Assistant – Varied Role in Wellington

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join a forward-thinking engineering company in Wellington. The role offers a varied mix of purchase-ledger, sales-ledger, credit control and multi-currency duties, with a high degree of autonomy once you are settled.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices and support supplier payment runs.
• Create sales invoices and resolve invoice or payment queries.
• Monitor customer accounts and chase overdue payments.
• Handle multi-currency transactions (GBP, EUR, USD) and perform reconciliations.
• Transfer account data from the CRM into Sage 50.
• Manage the finance inbox, file records and process company credit-card information.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Accounting Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar role.
• Confidence using accounting software; Sage 50 experience is a strong advantage.
• Attention to detail and ability to keep financial information organised.
