Drainage Operator / Registered Drainlayer

About the role

Stellar Recruitment is recruiting experienced Drainlayers, Registered Drainlayers and Drainage Operators for established civil contractors delivering commercial civil projects across major infrastructure and construction works in Wellington. Whether you are already registered or working towards registration, you can build experience and technical capability alongside experienced teams on high-profile projects.

Key responsibilities

• Registered Drainlayers: lead drainage installations to the required standard, sign off completed works and ensure compliance requirements are met
• Read and interpret plans and specifications
• Support and mentor less experienced team members
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship
• Install and maintain drainage systems on commercial civil projects, working from plans and specifications
• Support site teams, coordinate with wider crews and operate machinery where required
• Build experience and capability towards registration

Required profile

• Proven drain laying experience is essential
• Registered Drainlayer qualification, or actively working towards registration
• Ability to read plans and work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong understanding of drainage systems, compliance and site safety requirements
• Reliable, motivated and committed to quality work
