About the role
Join QBE's Pacific Finance team as the Credit Control Team Leader, overseeing a high‑performing group that works closely with Underwriting to influence outcomes and drive debt reduction. This hybrid role offers flexibility while ensuring a strong presence in the Auckland office.
Key responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day operations of the Credit Control team, improving workflow efficiency and reducing outstanding debt.
- Set clear direction to achieve credit control targets and performance metrics.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members responsible for chasing, settling and allocating debtor transactions.
- Monitor aged debt, emerging risk and cash‑collection trends to maximise recovery.
- Prepare and present monthly performance reports highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external parties, including Grappler.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and collaboration.
Required profile
- Proven experience in credit control.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach or lead a team.
- Confident in managing and influencing internal stakeholders.
- Comfortable engaging with senior leaders and management teams.
Required skills
- Experience using Grappler or similar credit management platforms.
