Corporate Tax Senior Consultant / Manager

About the role

Deloitte’s Tax team is seeking a Senior Consultant or Manager to join its Corporate Tax practice in Auckland. You will work with a diverse portfolio of multinational and privately‑owned clients, delivering practical tax solutions while developing your expertise in corporate, international and transfer pricing matters.

Key responsibilities

• Help clients mitigate risk, meet compliance obligations and achieve business objectives.
• Advise on a wide range of corporate tax issues, including legislation analysis and transaction structuring.
• Prepare and review corporate tax returns and support tax due‑diligence for M&A transactions.
• Assist clients in resolving tax disputes and interpreting complex technical tax matters, leveraging Deloitte’s AI platform.
• Contribute to corporate and international tax policy discussions.
• Coach and develop junior team members.
• Drive efficiency and client service improvements through technology tools.
• Collaborate with the team and maintain a positive work environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of New Zealand corporate tax and compliance experience.
• Preferably recent experience in a Big 4 or mid‑tier firm.
• Strong technical tax knowledge and ability to build client relationships.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive, energetic attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
