Contracts Lead – Senior Manager

About the role

PwC is seeking a Contracts Lead at Senior Manager level to oversee the commercial and contractual aspects of transformation projects for its clients in Wellington. You will act as the bridge between programme delivery, PwC leadership, clients, delivery partners and internal risk teams to ensure engagements are properly structured, approved and delivered.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior PwC leaders and programme teams to shape commercial approaches for complex client engagements.
• Develop, review and negotiate Statements of Work, change requests and variations under client Master Services Agreements.
• Lead commercial, partner, risk‑panel and OGC approval processes for new and amended engagements.
• Advise senior stakeholders on contractual obligations, dependencies, commercial risk and practical options.
• Coordinate subcontractor, delivery‑partner and inter‑firm arrangements and translate client positions into appropriate agreements.
• Support governance forums, commercial status reporting and resolution of contractual issues.
• Collaborate with PMO and resourcing teams on pricing, scope and commercial coverage.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in contract management, commercial negotiations and risk assessment within professional services or consulting.
• Proven ability to work with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
