Community Occupational Therapist

About the role

Geneva Wellbeing, which provides community-based rehabilitation services for people recovering after injury, illness or living with a disability, is seeking a full-time permanent Occupational Therapist to join its Palmerston North team. The role covers several clients and contracts in the Manawatu region, and involves working in homes, community and workplace settings. Flexible working arrangements are offered.

Required profile

• 2+ years' experience as a NZ Registered Occupational Therapist
• Rehabilitation experience is essential; experience with spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury and concussion is advantageous
• Previous community experience in a similar role
• Current NZ registration with OTBNZ
• Understanding of and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Ability to travel and work autonomously

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Awareness of Health Legislation and the NZ health funding systems
• Passion to continue learning and growing
