Communications and Marketing Manager

About the role

Te Atamira, a vibrant arts hub in Queenstown, is looking for a Communications and Marketing Manager to shape its public voice and share the stories, programmes, and creative experiences that define the centre. This full‑time fixed‑term position (12 months) starts in late September 2026 and will be based on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver strategic marketing and communications initiatives that grow audiences and support artists, residents, and community connections.
• Create and manage content across digital channels, social media, and traditional media.
• Lead campaigns, engage with media outlets, and identify new opportunities to expand reach.
• Support earned revenue efforts and enhance Te Atamira’s profile as a leading cultural destination.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to ensure culturally inclusive communications.

Required profile

• Significant experience in communications, marketing, brand, or audience development.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project and time‑management abilities.
• Initiative, creativity, and a proactive mindset.
• Understanding of te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
• Experience engaging diverse communities and delivering culturally inclusive messages.
• Confidence using audience insights, analytics, and emerging digital tools.
• Excellent relationship‑building and collaborative skills.
• Experience supporting fundraising, sponsorship, philanthropy, or donor engagement.
