Casual Housekeeper – Retirement Village

About the role

We are looking for a casual Housekeeper to join the dedicated team at The Sands Village in Browns Bay. This role supports the daily living experience of our residents by maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming communal and private areas.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of cleaning and laundry services.
• Clean residents' communal spaces and individual living areas.
• Follow established policies and procedures to ensure all areas are sanitised, safe, and hazard‑free.
• Provide a varied workload that contributes to a pleasant living environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning position.
• Knowledge and experience in chemical handling.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
• A friendly nature with respect for residents.
• Passion for maintaining a safe environment.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work on a rostered shift basis.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
