Rangatahi Pathways Coordinator

About the role

This part‑time, three‑year fixed‑term position supports rangatahi (young people) to build confidence, overcome barriers and achieve sustainable outcomes. You will develop trusted relationships, connect participants with services and guide them toward employment, training or education.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with rangatahi through mentoring, encouragement and practical support.
• Support participant wellbeing and address barriers to engagement, attendance and achievement.
• Connect participants and whānau with community services, support networks and opportunities.
• Guide participants towards sustainable employment, training, education and other positive outcomes.

Required profile

• Experience in youth work, community development, education, employment services or a similar field.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills with a positive, solutions‑focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with good organisational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Understanding of challenges affecting young people and a commitment to creating positive outcomes for rangatahi and whānau.
