AWS Platform Specialist

About the role

One NZ is looking for an AWS Platform Specialist to design and deliver cloud‑native contact‑centre solutions that power AI‑enhanced customer experiences. This 12‑month fixed‑term role sits at the intersection of telecom, AI and modern DevOps practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable voice, messaging and AI‑driven journeys using Amazon Connect and related AWS services.
• Translate business requirements into production‑ready technical designs and secure, maintainable solutions.
• Develop and deploy serverless components with Lambda, APIs, event‑driven services, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate CRM, digital and enterprise systems through APIs and ensure compliance with architecture, privacy and quality standards.
• Build and support AI automation capabilities, including conversational IVR, prompt design, guardrails and intelligent routing.
• Own solution performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, optimisation and release readiness, while sharing knowledge across the team.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience delivering customer‑facing technology in contact‑centre or CCaaS environments, preferably with CRM and AI integrations.
• Strong practical knowledge of Amazon Connect, AWS serverless services and cloud‑native architecture patterns.
• Ability to solve complex technical challenges and deliver production‑grade solutions.
