Automotive Mechanic

About the role

A busy local workshop in Canterbury, backed by over 30 years of history, is looking for a qualified automotive technician. The team works on a wide range of passenger, classic, hybrid and electric vehicles and offers a supportive, close-knit culture with a steady pipeline of work.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of passenger vehicles
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
• Complete repair orders and keep accurate job records and documentation
• Assist with customer communication, invoicing and workshop administration when required
• Deliver high-quality workmanship while meeting productivity and safety standards

Required profile

• Qualified automotive technician with proven diagnostic, service and repair experience
• Current WOF certificate preferred, or the ability and desire to gain one
• Strong customer service skills and willingness to help with invoicing and workshop admin
• Reliable team player who enjoys a close-knit workshop environment
