Workforce Planner

About the role
We are seeking a Workforce Planner to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time across a large, complex operation. The role blends analytical problem‑solving with stakeholder collaboration to develop medium‑ and long‑term workforce and leave plans.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain workforce and leave plans covering 6 months to 5 years.
- Analyse demand, capacity, leave requirements, operational risks and performance trends.
- Balance operational needs, labour costs, contractual and regulatory obligations.
- Monitor plans, produce reports, insights and recommendations for business decisions.
- Identify constraints, risks and opportunities and propose practical solutions.
- Use data modelling and structured problem‑solving to influence outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders and stakeholders.
- Lead improvements in planning processes, tools and systems.
- Maintain accurate planning data for reporting and compliance.
Required profile
- Experience in workforce planning, workforce management, resource planning, rostering or similar analytical roles.
- Strong analytical thinking, numerical ability and logical reasoning.
- Ability to interpret data, spot trends and turn insights into clear recommendations.
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Confident stakeholder engagement and evidence‑based influencing.
- Self‑starter who can work through ambiguity and create structure.
Required skills
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
