Store Lead

About the role

Arc'teryx, the outdoor apparel brand owned by Amer Sports, is opening its first store in New Zealand in Auckland and is looking for a Lead. The role supports the in-store experience during shifts, leads from the floor and coaches Product Guides, working under the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Support the in-store experience during shifts and champion floor leadership and guest experience
• Share brand information and event details with the team and guests
• Coach and develop Product Guides to help the store reach its targets
• Support inventory management, including receiving, processing, restocking, destocking and visual merchandising
• Oversee sales targets, labour and budget management
• Network with potential partners to support events and brand engagement
• Manage opening and closing procedures, answer store phones and respond to voicemails and emails
• Use the POS system to process transactions, including warranties, used gear trade-ins, purchases and returns

Required profile

• One or more years of leadership experience and 1-2 years of retail experience
• Natural leader who enjoys helping others reach their potential
• Passion for customer service and for getting outside
• Comfortable enforcing health and safety guidelines
• Strong time management, flexibility and written and verbal communication

The position is full time. Availability is expected for Black Friday and from the second week of December until the end of the holiday season, and availability may change at the discretion of the Store Manager.
