Software Engineer – 6 Month Contract (Christchurch)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a skilled team in Christchurch on a 6‑month contract. You will work on existing frontend web applications, using a mix of modern technologies and Agile practices to deliver high‑value features.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing frontend web applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Write clear, efficient, and modular code using widely adopted libraries.
• Participate in sprint planning and contribute to priority decisions.
• Demonstrate work to the team and promote shared understanding.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1‑2 years of experience in web application development.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
