Software Developer – Full Stack (Azure)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Developer to join KPMG’s technology team in New Zealand. You will design and build scalable digital solutions that deliver seamless, high‑quality user experiences across our client and internal products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy robust front‑end and back‑end features aligned with product and architectural goals.
• Write clean, modular, well‑documented code with appropriate test coverage and secure development practices.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the stack to ensure responsive applications.
• Provide technical guidance to peers through pairing, code reviews and documentation.
• Collaborate with product, design, platform and QA teams to deliver high‑quality digital experiences.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders and contribute to planning discussions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software development experience with strong full‑stack capability.
• Proven experience developing on Microsoft Azure.
• Comfortable working across front‑end, back‑end, APIs, integrations, databases, authentication and cloud services.
• Experience with modern web application development and secure coding practices.
• Ability to engage early in discovery and shape solutions, not just code from fixed requirements.
• Clear communicator who can collaborate with product, business, testing and technical teams.
