Senior Team Leader - Secondary Butchery Lamb

About the role

Step into a leadership role at the heart of our operations, guiding a production team to deliver safety, quality, and efficiency in secondary lamb butchery. This hands‑on position spends most of the time on the floor, leading by example and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Inspire and coach the team to achieve production targets while maintaining compliance.
• Organise and monitor daily production plans, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Champion health and safety, embedding an uncompromising safety culture.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and encourage innovative ideas.
• Communicate effectively across departments to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Leadership experience in a production or processing environment (meat industry or FMCG a bonus).
• Strong commitment to health & safety, quality, compliance, and animal welfare.
• Proven people‑management skills with the ability to coach, support and hold the team accountable.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities across all levels.
• Continuous improvement mindset, always seeking better ways to work.

Required skills

• Good computer and reporting skills, comfortable using Excel.
• Proficiency with Outlook and production systems.
