Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Based in Balclutha, this role offers a motivated tradesperson the chance to keep a busy plant running smoothly. You’ll be hands‑on with day‑to‑day operation, repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment across a wide range of facilities, meaning no two days are the same. The 4/4 roster (four 12‑hour days, four days off, four 12‑hour nights, four days off) allows focus on both preventative and reactive maintenance while providing ample time away from work.

Key responsibilities

• Hands‑on day‑to‑day operation, repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment across a wide range of facilities.
• Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance to keep the plant running smoothly.

Required profile

• Relevant trade qualification.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and industrial maintenance (FMCG experience an advantage).
• Practical problem‑solving ability and sound judgement under pressure.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Organised, with the ability to prioritise in a busy plant environment.
