Senior Site Manager - Warehouse and Logistics Projects

About the role

A well-established main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex industrial, warehouse and distribution facilities across New Zealand is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead the day-to-day management of site operations for large-scale warehouse and logistics developments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site delivery from earthworks through to practical completion
• Manage site teams, subcontractors and labour resources
• Drive the project programme and coordinate construction sequencing
• Ensure health and safety compliance and foster a positive safety culture
• Hold site meetings and coordinate with consultants and client representatives
• Monitor quality assurance processes and project documentation
• Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve site issues proactively
• Work with the Project Manager to meet budget, programme and quality objectives

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on large-scale industrial, warehouse, logistics or commercial projects
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and complex site operations
• Excellent planning, coordination and leadership skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Hands-on leader who leads from the front and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Trade qualification or relevant construction management background preferred
