Registered Electrician – Auckland

About the role

Stellar Recruitment is working with several established electrical contractors in Auckland who need experienced electricians for upcoming and ongoing projects. The work covers commercial developments, industrial facilities, infrastructure upgrades and maintenance, and is available as fixed-term or contractor positions.

Key responsibilities

• Electrical installations on commercial and industrial sites
• Maintenance, servicing and upgrades of electrical systems
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications
• Cable pulling, terminating and testing
• Fault finding and troubleshooting
• Switchboard installation and modifications
• Testing and commissioning of electrical equipment
• Ensuring compliance with New Zealand electrical standards
• Participating in toolbox talks and site safety activities

Required profile

• Current EWRB Practising Licence
• Proven experience as a Registered Electrician on commercial, industrial or infrastructure projects
• Valid working rights in New Zealand (citizen, permanent resident or resident visa)
• Reliable transport and a positive attitude

Required skills

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work from plans and technical drawings
• Excellent understanding of health and safety requirements
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• EWP, Working at Heights, First Aid and/or Confined Spaces certificates are highly beneficial
