Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Worldline NZ is building the next generation of payment infrastructure in New Zealand. As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will join a multi‑year payment switch programme, working closely with engineering, architecture and vendor partners to deliver a secure, reliable and scalable platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and configure cloud infrastructure for the modern payment switch platform.
• Develop and improve automation, CI/CD pipelines and test automation to accelerate delivery.
• Strengthen observability through monitoring, logging and alerting implementations.
• Collaborate with the Technical Lead, engineers and vendors to ensure the platform is production‑ready from day one.
• Support incident response and continuous improvement of reliability practices.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in DevOps, infrastructure or platform engineering.
• Confidence working with cloud environments such as Azure and/or AWS, including networking, compute and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Proven ability to build CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments and tests.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, alerting and incident response for production systems.
• Problem‑solving mindset, quick learner and effective collaborator.
• Experience in payments or PCI‑DSS environments is a plus but not mandatory.
