Registered Nurse - Transit Services

About the role

Wellington Regional Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse to join its Transit Care team on a permanent part-time basis (0.4 FTE). As a Transit Care nurse you will assess and provide essential acute clinical care to high-risk patients while attending them at various locations across the two District Health Board sites and at off-site radiology. The team works Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30, with an alternating 08:30 start time.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and provide acute clinical care to high-risk patients
• Attend patients at multiple locations across the two DHB sites and at off-site radiology
• Work autonomously in organising your day using the Smart Page booking system, in discussion with clinical areas, team members, DNM's and the Transit ACNM
• Take advantage of ongoing education through the PDRP to keep up to date with evidence-based practice and accepted standards of care

Required profile

• New Zealand residency or citizenship, and currently living in New Zealand
• Current annual practicing certificate
• At least five years of postgraduate nursing experience
• NZRC Level 6 qualification
