Quality Assurance Technologist

About the role

The Quality Assurance Technologist supports Kerry's site quality and food safety programs in Auckland. Reporting to the QA Laboratory Manager, you will work closely with production and cross‑functional teams to ensure raw materials, in‑process products, and finished goods meet all customer, regulatory, and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct product testing and support timely release of raw materials and finished goods.
• Manage and maintain the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) to ensure food‑safety compliance.
• Support site hygiene and sanitation through routine inspections, monitoring, and verification.
• Assist continuous‑improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, food safety, and operational performance.
• Implement and maintain HACCP and other risk‑assessment programs.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System to meet Kerry Global standards, customer, regulatory, and GFSI‑recognized requirements.
• Provide document‑control support for procedures, work instructions, and training documentation.
• Support quality activities within Intelex and SAP, ensuring accurate data management and reporting.
• Participate in internal, customer, and third‑party audits, including preparation, execution, and follow‑up.
• Assist with complaint investigations, non‑conformance management, root‑cause analysis, and corrective‑action implementation.

Required profile

• A Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, quality assurance, or food safety.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
