The Boundary · Auckland
Job description
About the role
The Boundary, a digital architecture studio founded by award-winning architects, is looking for a Project Manager to join its Auckland team. The role reports directly to the Head of Production and covers the full lifecycle of projects, from planning through to delivery. It suits people who enjoy managing timelines, collaborating with teams and delivering high-profile global projects, from emerging talent to experienced professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Plan each project: understand scope, timelines and appointment terms, organise kick-off meetings and set up systems, tools and communication channels
- Keep project information current (scope, schedules, approvals, assets) so the team has a single source of truth
- Schedule and run meetings such as pre-planning sessions, sprints, stand-ups and stage gates, and work with Senior Leads to groom the backlog and task list
- Identify potential scope creep and help issue change requests
- Update project management tools with team allocations and manage contractor availability so project hours are tracked accurately
- Foster teamwork, resolve conflicts and align the team around scope, goals and budgets
- Produce status updates and burndowns, monitor progress and ensure deliverables are met on time
- Archive project channels and make sure final signed-off deliverables are stored correctly
Required profile
- Sound architectural knowledge: no degree required, but the ability to read plans and talk with architects
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role in a digital production or agency environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Interest in architecture, 3D and/or PropTech
- Currently based in New Zealand with full working rights; visa sponsorship is not offered
Required skills
- Understanding of project management principles and tools
- Ability to read architectural plans
