Modern Workplace Engineer / EUC Specialist (Contract)

About the role

This contract position supports a lean, technically strong infrastructure team operating across on‑premises and multi‑cloud environments. You will lead the lifecycle of a hybrid desktop estate, moving from manual setups to automated, centrally managed solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Tier 3 escalation point for complex hardware, software and identity issues while meeting SLA targets.
• Manage imaging, packaging and patching for Windows and macOS fleets.
• Design, scale and maintain unified endpoint configurations using Intune and JAMF.
• Own application packaging, deployment pipelines and centralized configuration policies.
• Administer Active Directory, GPOs and Azure AD/Entra ID, supporting hybrid single sign‑on.
• Support and expand Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix environments for secure remote work.
• Develop PowerShell scripts and automated workflows to improve fleet health and reduce manual effort.
• Maintain on‑prem peripherals such as print servers, Follow‑Me printing and executive AV setups.

Required profile

• Available to start in June 2026 with valid NZ work rights.
• 3+ years of system administration, infrastructure or EUC engineering experience in a hybrid corporate environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for both Windows and macOS desktops.
• Hands‑on experience with AD, GPO, Azure AD/Entra ID and hybrid SSO.
• Proven ability to write clear, repeatable automation scripts (PowerShell).
