Manager, NFR Spoke – Business & Agri

About the role

The Manager, NFR Spoke – Business & Agri will lead first‑line non‑financial risk management for ANZ New Zealand’s Business & Agri division. You will partner with business teams to identify, assess and control risks across major change initiatives, providing expert advisory and embedding strong risk practices into decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end non‑financial risk management, including risk identification, assessment, control design, governance and reporting.
• Partner with business teams on strategic change, driving control uplift and sustainable risk solutions.
• Lead proactive risk‑in‑change, event and issue management, including root‑cause analysis and lessons learned.
• Prepare risk analysis, insights and thematic reporting for governance forums and senior management.
• Review control design and effectiveness, identify gaps, and support remediation planning and delivery.
• Assist with regulatory and policy change impact assessments and oversee implementation activities.
• Collaborate with the NFR Hub and Risk Theme Centres of Excellence to provide business‑specific risk insights.
• Coach and develop team members, building risk capability across the business.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of core non‑financial risk concepts, including risk assessment, control design, change risk assessment and event management.
• Proven experience leading change risk assessments, investigations and root‑cause analysis.
• Understanding of regulatory obligations, licensing requirements and regulatory change management.
• Well‑developed analytical skills with the ability to identify risk themes, trends and emerging issues.
• Ability to synthesize complex risk information into clear, decision‑ready insights.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
