Log Yard Machine Operator – Dunedin Port

About the role
We are seeking a skilled operator to run wheel loaders and wheeled material handlers in the log yard at Dunedin Port. This permanent, full‑time position works 12‑hour shifts and focuses on safe, efficient log handling.
Key responsibilities
- Operate wheel loaders and material handlers in the Dunedin port log yard.
- Safely arrange, transfer, and load logs.
- Communicate clearly with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Required profile
- Experience operating wheel loaders and/or material handlers.
- Strong background in log handling.
- Positive, safety‑focused attitude.
- Full NZ driver’s licence.
- Ability to work shift patterns.
- New Zealand citizenship.
- Pass pre‑employment medical, drug test, ACC and MOJ criminal history checks.
