Intermediate/Senior Financial Quantity Surveyor

About the role

A reputable main contractor, focused on projects in the $5M-$30M range across education, retail/hospitality, major fit-outs, apartments, reclads, airports and healthcare, is hiring an intermediate or senior quantity surveyor. The role is financial and leads on one or two projects, as the firm's pipeline of awarded work grows.

Key responsibilities

• Tender estimates and review, and let contracts
• Variation management, progress claims and supplier payments
• Sub-contractor negotiations and management
• Cost management and reporting
• Attend site visits and act as a client-facing QS representing clients

Required profile

• 7+ years of commercial construction QS experience at a main contractor on projects of $5M-$30M
• Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Bachelor's degree in Construction or Construction Economics
• Commercial acumen with a focus on increasing project profitability
• Well-developed understanding of NZ3910
• Team player who thrives under construction project pressure

Required skills

• Technical systems experience, ideally Procore, Jobpac, Costx and ProcurePro
