HSCQ Advisor

About the role

The Health, Safety, Compliance & Quality (HSCQ) Advisor will support hazardous goods compliance and daily operations at Chemcare Group’s Otahuhu site. This full‑time, on‑site position offers hands‑on exposure to real operational challenges and the chance to develop specialist expertise in dangerous goods handling.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all hazardous goods regulations and internal safety standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits and inspections across manufacturing and logistics processes.
• Develop and maintain safety management systems and quality documentation.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on safe handling of dangerous substances.
• Collaborate with operations teams to resolve compliance issues and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in health, safety, compliance or quality roles, preferably within manufacturing or logistics.
• Strong understanding of hazardous goods legislation and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively on‑site.
