Head of Operations (New Zealand)

About the role

Rentokil Initial is seeking a senior operational leader to drive safety, service delivery and team performance across New Zealand. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will shape the operational strategy, ensure compliance and support growth in a global business-services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and embed a strong safety culture throughout the NZ operation.
• Manage service delivery to meet contractual expectations, enhancing client retention and growth.
• Develop, lead and coach a first-class technical, training and operational support team.
• Create and deliver the NZ operational plan in collaboration with Pacific and global teams.
• Oversee people management, P&L responsibility and operational performance metrics.
• Drive operational efficiencies, productivity optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Business qualification (degree/diploma) or equivalent experience delivering scaled businesses.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and proven ability to build a safety culture.
• Strong leadership experience managing complex, multi-location teams.
• Solid operational expertise in logistics, supply chain and scheduling systems.
• Hands-on leadership style with coaching and development skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to change and prioritize competing demands.
• Commercial acumen for budget and cost management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Track record of meeting targets, KPIs and delivering cost efficiencies.
