Head of Finance (Senior CFO)

About the role

We are looking for a senior finance leader to take charge of Huffer’s financial function. The role combines strategic oversight of financial controls, cash‑flow management and reporting with a hands‑on commercial finance and accounting focus. The position can start as part‑time and expand as the business grows.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust financial controls and reporting frameworks.
• Monitor and optimise cash‑flow to support operational needs.
• Lead commercial finance activities, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Provide strategic financial insight to senior management.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting processes and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior finance roles such as CFO or Finance Director.
• Strong commercial finance background with hands‑on accounting expertise.
• Ability to work on‑site in Newmarket, Auckland.
• Flexibility to start part‑time and scale with the business.
