Graduate Civil Engineer – New Zealand

About the role
We are seeking a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to join AM Engineering, a growing civil engineering consultancy in New Zealand. This role offers hands‑on experience across residential and commercial land‑development projects, allowing you to work alongside professional engineers from concept through to construction.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the design and drafting of civil infrastructure using CAD software.
- Prepare reports, resource consent and engineering plan approval documentation.
- Support stormwater, wastewater and earthworks design activities.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress.
- Coordinate with surveyors, planners, architects and contractors.
Required profile
- Graduate civil engineer with 0‑4 years of local experience.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
- Good communication and problem‑solving abilities.
- Full NZ driver’s licence preferred and legal right to work in New Zealand.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CAD drafting software such as AutoCAD or BricsCAD.
