Freelance Material Scientist (Python) – AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Material Scientist with strong Python skills to help design and validate engineering‑focused AI training problems. The work is project‑based, supporting leading tech companies in testing and improving AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design original material engineering problems that mimic real‑world workflows.
• Create problem statements that require Python programming for calculations, simulations, and iterative numerical methods.
• Develop challenges involving system design, optimization, and analysis based on actual research or practical engineering scenarios.
• Verify solutions using Python and standard engineering libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide validated correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Material Science or a related engineering field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in applied research, teaching, or industry.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Numerical libraries: NumPy, Pandas, SciPy.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, or Stata (any equivalent programming language).
