Experienced Scaffolders – Bay of Plenty (NZ)

About the role

We are seeking experienced intermediate and advanced scaffolders to join our Bay of Plenty team. You will work in a small crew on industrial sites, erecting and dismantling scaffolding for a variety of temporary structures and maintenance tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Erect and dismantle scaffolding to create work platforms on building, industrial and other sites.
• Construct temporary structures such as stages, catwalks, and platforms for painting, repairs, and façade work.
• Inspect access requirements, select appropriate materials, set ground levels, and assemble steel pipe systems with braces, clamps, and bolts.
• Place planks on horizontal bars, check levels, and use prefabricated scaffolding where available.
• Ensure correct tagging of all scaffold components and compliance with AS/NZ 1576 and other relevant standards.

Required profile

• NZ Scaffolding CoC – Level 3, 4 or 5.
• Current Working at Heights certification and related unit standards.
• 3‑5 years of scaffolding experience in New Zealand.
• Team‑player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Legal right to live and work in New Zealand and ability to pass pre‑employment medical testing.

Required skills

• Scaffolding erection and dismantling.
• NZ Scaffolding CoC Level 3/4/5 certification.
• Working at Heights certification.
• Assembly of steel pipe scaffolding systems.
• Use of prefabricated scaffolding components.
• Compliance with AS/NZ 1576 standards.
