Entry Level Support Engineer

About the role

Join New Era Technology as an Entry Level Support Engineer and start your IT career supporting education sites in Kerikeri and Kaitaia. You will be the first point of contact for users, handling tickets, troubleshooting issues and delivering friendly, face‑to‑face service.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, chat and in‑person.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems.
• Log and track incidents in the ticketing system and follow up until resolution.
• Escalate complex issues to senior teams and collaborate with cross‑functional colleagues.
• Complete daily timesheets with strong attention to detail.
• Travel locally across the region using a company vehicle.

Required profile

• New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
• Full or restricted NZ driver’s licence.
• Ability to work a 38‑hour week (Mon‑Thu 8 hrs, Fri 6 hrs).
• Excellent communication skills with non‑technical users.
• Flexibility to travel between client sites.
