Cyclic Patrol Person – Road Maintenance (Mokau)

About the role

Downer is seeking a Cyclic Patrol Person to join its Transport and Infrastructure team in the Mokau area. You will conduct programmed road inspections, perform routine maintenance, and respond to emergencies to keep the road network safe and accessible for the public.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled road inspections and report findings.
• Perform pavement repairs, drainage maintenance, vegetation control, and obstruction clearance.
• Respond to emergency events and participate in an after‑hours call‑out roster.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate status to supervisors.

Required profile

• Current Class 2 Driver Licence.
• Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental practices.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to join an after‑hours call‑out roster.
